How Do I Handle the Stresses of Life?

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

Stress is one of the great battles of modern life. People are overwhelmed, anxious, hurried, exhausted, and carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone. Stress can affect our mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spiritual life. Paul reminds us that God offers a peace that is greater than human understanding. This peace does not mean the absence of problems. It means the presence of God in the middle of them.

We cannot always control what happens around us, but we can learn how to bring our burdens to God, trust His purpose, serve others, and rely on the strength of Christ. God may not remove every stressful situation, but He will give me peace and strength in the middle of it.
