A Discouraged Heart

1 Samuel 21 | We have all face times in our lives when things are no longer peaceful and calm and we sit in despair as things are just not the way they are supposed to be! We all are born with a drive to grow and to flourish. But sometimes that gets destroyed by a killer called discouragement. Discouragement is like a cancer of the soul. And really, who you are – the test of character, is not so much how you respond when things are going really well. It’s how you respond when you’re in the valley of
discouragement. We are going to look at the most discouraging era in David’s life. And we’re going to get to one verse that describes a magnificent spiritual skill David had. (1 Samuel 30:6 “But David encouraged himself in the Lord!”)
