A Humble Heart

Psalm 51 – Confession | King David is the King of Israel and their spiritual leader. But he commits adultery with Bathsheba, has husband killed, and then tries to cover up all his sin. So the Lord sends Nathan the prophet to confront David and show him his sin and David humbles himself before God and he deals with the sin issue! David openly confesses his sin, he asks for forgiveness, and he walks away rejoicing! The confession of David…he says in 1-3, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.”
